OCT. 10TH: Tryouts for the UMS 8th Grade team begins Oct. 17th. The tryout schedule is AS Follows:

8th Grade Boys Tryouts: Oct. 17th 7-8:30pm & Oct. 18 5-6:30pm at UMS.

Please make sure you have your physical turned in and your player participation form completed and turned in to the main office prior to trying out.

Oct. 19: Practice begins today 5:30-7:30pm. Please arrive at 5:15. Practice Thursday Oct. 20th will be 7am-8:10a.m. Friday's practice is 5:30-7pm this week! No practice Sat. Go Tigers!

Oct. 27: There is no school Friday Oct. 28th. Practice Friday Oct. 28th is 10am-12pm. Practice/parent meeting is Saturday Oct. 29th from 3:45-4:45pm.

Oct. 31: Today is early dismissal at UMS. Practice is 2-4pm. 

November 2016 NEWS:

Nov. 1: The UMS season tips-off today at Rantoul! The bus leaves UMS at 3:15pm, 7th Grade plays at 5:00pm followed by 8th grade. We will return to UMS around 7:45pm. 

Nov. 2: The UMS Tigers defeated Rantoul 42-26 to tip-off the season with a win! Team/Individual pictures are today at 11am! 

Nov. 3: Today the UMS Tigers take on Bloomington JHS in Bloomington, IL. The bus leaves at 2:45pm. Good luck Tigers! We will return to UMS around 8:30pm. Tigers win! 2-0!

Nov. 7: Tigers vs Jaguars tonight at 4:30pm. The bus leaves at 3:15pm from UMS to Jefferson. Tigers Win! 3-0!

NOV. 16: In their home debut UMS takes on the newly formed Danville team tonight at UMS. 7th grade begins at 4:30pm followed by 8th grade. Go Tigers! Good Luck!

NOV. 21: The tigers look to bounce back from a tough loss at home last week today vs. decatur-jefferson at home at 6pm.

NOV. 22: Tigers vs. Monticello tonight at monticello. 

NOV. 28: Franklin Knights vs. Tigers Tonight at 4:30pm

NOV. 30: TIGERS vs. Comets TONIGHT AT 4:30PM

JAN 9:  Big week this week! We play Rantoul tonight at home, 8th Grade night is home vs. franklin wednesday, and we play edison Thursday away. let's go Tigers!

JAN 11: Today is 8th grade night vs. franklin knights at home! Congrats boys on 2 or 3 years of participating in ums basketball!!!!! we are super proud of you all!
